Sussex Police: Chichester Open Day

Saturday 16th July 2016

Turned out nice again.  Really great Open Day held in glourious sunshine by the seaside.

Good turn out by the club with a great location right in the heart of the display area.
Joined by a non members Morris Minor but was a nice little addition to the display of classic 'Job' cars.

Andy Lawrence's Sussex Police Rover SD1 looking resplendent in the seaside sunshine.

Next in line, and acting as a gazeboo support, was Adrian Cottle's Posh Wiltshire Police Driving Schools Jaguar XJ6

Short journey for the Stumbles clan who brought their fully repaired Durham Constabulary Ford Transit Carrier.

Two of Phil Jacob's little collection.  The Hants Volvo 240 PS and the BMW 328 E28.

Sussex Police RPU parked this little unmarked toy next to us.  An Audi S3 with more flashing lights on it than a Christmas Tree.
would love to have had a play with is on the Autobahn.

Sussex Police on Show

Sussex Police RPU BMW X5 F15.  One of several new vehicle on display at the Open Day.

Nice looking Ford Ranger part of the Rural Policing Team.

Cleverly marked up Ford Focus used to re-enforce the Drink- Drive campaign.

'Sussex Safer Roads' Team Mobile camera unit.  Couldn't miss this one could you!

One of the Dog Units parked up waiting to give a display in the arena.
This Ford S-Max had been used by a Divisional unit before being converted to a dog van
as denoted by the aircode circle rather than the triangle used by dog van.

Had a wonder around the Chichester Police Station with kind permission of the Divisional Chief Insp.
Found this little line up of current in service vehicles in the main car park.

One of a few Divisional Response Team Ford Focus Estates parked in the yard.

Sussex Police Divisonal Ford Mondeo Estate

Not one I expected to see down this neck of the woods was this Divisional Hyundai i30.

Fire Sevice on scene.

Beautifully restored AFS Bedford Fire Engine.  Definitely a labour of love.

Newly aquired West Sussex FRS Mercedes Sprinter Special Vehicle on show.
Neat piece of kit with all wheel drive.

Show was a great success with a large crowd attending helped by the fantastic weather.
Thanks to all that attended and helped to make it a fun and enjoyable day.
